Our 1906 Folk Victorian Farmhouse Renovation

It’s Finally February

The trouble with a major renovation…

Is what should actually be the easy part which is finding all the necessary resources and getting them committed to starting our project. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe it’s the simple fact that we are both Type A and struggle with patience? 🤔

Either way, it’s only February and it’s been a rollercoaster so far, even though the house is stationary. It’s our emotions & schedules that have been on the rollercoaster. 🎢

We’ve locked down our Architect that will help us design a new set of stairs from the upstairs attic (converted to living space in phase 2), which we’re happy about, but here’s something you should know…they don’t come cheap. In our case, one is absolutely necessary. Our designer will be ready once it is time to work with us on classic finishes, but our current struggle is…

It’s not shocking honestly, we somewhat expected this, but man…the wheels turn slow. Especially in our area where there are numerous older homes being renovated as well as new builds going up quickly too.

We know that patience and diligence is key for renovations, so we’ll continue to keep our foot on the gas, even if we aren’t going anywhere…yet. We know that once it starts, we better buckle up because it will go,

0 to 100 REAL QUICK.
