Our 1906 Folk Victorian Farmhouse Renovation

We’re in the Thick of It!

March 7th, 2022:

New concrete foundation footings going in the oldest parts of our home. One corner of our living room slopes so we added a 20 ton Jack to lift it 1.25 inches to help level the flooring. New floor joists are going in as well.

Such a special home. Getting to see the original bones of the home is pretty amazing. If you zoom in the image on the left, check out the original stacked stones underneath the front door.

It’s important to us to give our home another hundred years of life, so making sure the bones stay solid and preserving what can be preserved is a moral obligation to those who built this home 116 years ago and for those who made memories in this home before us.
