Places We've Experienced

Williamsburg, Virginia

To be honest, Williamsburg, Virginia is an underrated place to explore!  So much history as well as so many fun places to enjoy.  We loved Williamsburg so much that we stayed there for 9 months.

During those 9 months, here’s the list of places we explored:

•Jamestown Settlement & National Park

•Colonial Williamsburg

•Busch Gardens

•York River State Park

•WaterCountry USA Water Park

•Williamsburg Winery

•Traveled to Washington DC for a weekend (2.5 hour drive)

•Yorktown Battlefield

•Took Ferry to Surry, VA

•Drove 3.5 hours to Lexington, VA.  Stayed at Brierly Bed & Breakfast.  Hiked Devil’s Marbleyard Trail.  Visited Natural Bridge State Park and drove through Virginia Safari Park.

We found that we love to eat.  Here are some of the best places that we and our tummies enjoyed

•Shields Tavern – Colonial Williamsburg

•La Tienda Spanish (our most favorite)

•Christiana Campbell’s Tavern – Colonial Williamsburg

•Honey Butters (Brunch)

•Berrets Restaurant

•Fat Canary

•Bluebird Bakery

•Bakers Crust

•First Watch

•Opus 9 Steakhouse

•Merchant’s Square (by William & Mary’s Campus)

Food For Thought (best brunch, only Saturday’s and Sunday’s)

•Second Street Bistro

Because Health and Fitness are critically important to us, here’s our favorite gym

•IronBound Gym
